This Little Piggy

Yesterday Caleb hunted Easter eggs (see Karen's blog for more on that story). Because Caleb's parents don't want him to have any sugar until after he's two (trying to instill good eating habits while he's young), they hid coins inside the eggs. He liked that because it made a rattly sound.

Caleb loved putting the coins into the piggy bank he just received from Aunt Cheryl for his birthday. It's a great piggy bank!

There was a $20 hidden in one egg. At first, Karen thought it was empty and tossed it aside. I had to grab another egg for its coin to add to the twenty-dollar egg so it would get opened. They were surprised when they opened it! They discussed if they should keep it or give it to Caleb for his bank (since they didn't know where it came from or how it got there). It was decided that if Caleb could get it in the bank, he got to keep it. On first try, he didn't want it because it wasn't as fun or easy to put into the slot. Karen thought she was home-free but then Caleb grabbed it again and slam-dunked it into the bank.

Way to go Caleb!
Sorry for the poor quality photos. My camera phone is lacking in clarity and megapixels.
