Blogging Via Droid
My birthday son blogs this way a lot, and he knows how to add pictures to his posts, but if I can't figure out the photo additions, there's no point in continuing this test. So forgive me for putting you through the guinea pig process!

Once Upon A Time
A long time ago there was a tiny little baby boy born early in the morning. He was a special boy because he was the very first child born to this particular family. His mommy loved him very much and even though he was tiny (for he only weighed 5 lb. 1 oz.), he was very strong, because he could wrap his mommy right around his little finger!
This little boy didn't waste any time and started to grow and learn and experience new things. He was such a cute boy, and often people would be amazed at his ability to speak at such a young age, for he was speaking in full sentences at 18 months old, and when he learned to read at age 3, they were even more amazed, but his mommy wasn't, because she knew this little boy was a special gift from Heaven.
Now he is all grown up, and has three beautiful children of his own (who are some of the most amazing grandchildren ever given to a grandmother).
Happy Birthday to my firstborn child. Thank you for choosing me to be your mom. I love you.

Won't You?
My father always spoke in the negative. He would say something like "Let's see if we can't do this." I always wondered why he did that. I'd much rather say "let's see if we can do this." I wonder if it was a generational thing. Remember Mr. Roger's Neighborhood where he sang "Won't you be my neighbor?"
We made this in Relief Society. I think my frame is a little too distressed, but then, so was I at the time of painting it. Lesson learned? Always make sure the nozzle on the spray can is pointing away from you, even if it is so dark you can't see which way it is pointing. Unless, of course, you like having your face and glasses a nice shade of white.
So, will you "be mine?"
Either way, Happy Valentine's Day!

Turn This Into That
So what shall we do with them?
Why, look at that! It makes a heart. But how shall I "glue" them together?
Here's my glue!

I loved that email! Good job, Caleb.
Caleb is not the only grandchild who sends me email. Here is one from Agnes. Laura types while Agnes talks. It's funny, because Agnes doesn't talk this way when you're just talking to her, only when she's dictating. This is in response to an email I had sent to her. And just so you know, Agnes' sister is not here yet even though at first it sounds like she is.

Grandma, that was very great. I hope you will be nice to Grandpa Bud. Please enjoy the Wizard of Oz Party of Agnes. And Eliot and Olive Read. The Read Family. It's very fun to have a new sister. Please make everyone feel happy. If you don't get this email, please send me a letter. And hope that my birthday will be really real. And hope that my real one will be real, real, real, real real, real, real. I love you Grandma. Thanks for sending me this email. Enjoy your dinner. When will you eat dinner? Please respond back to me if you don't get this message. I am watching my favorite movie, which is the Wizard of Oz. This is Agnes' favorite movie that is written right beside. And this one is very good. Do you remember when your daughter watched it, Laura? And do you remember Karen? And Caleb? I hope they will be very good to Harley. I wonder why Karen has a dog. Doo. Do you know? Oooo. No. If you come to my party, Olive might be born. If you celebrate my party, it will be lots of fun. You know, probably when do you think I should get my hair cut? Do you think I could be 7 when I get it? Or 8? Is it true that I'll get it in these ages or no? Is it possible to get it in these ages or do you think I should get it in these ages for 10? Do you think I should get it when I'm 10. Why do you think Laura writes it very small? Is it true that she writes in this language or no? That is all.
Love
Agnes
Grandchildren are God's best invention. Ooh, that sounds like a good quote for Julie to make into a plaque! Hey, Julie?

Lesson Enhancements
I didn't feel right about using it, since it was her design, so I enlisted my own designer and she came up with this, and used the space theme so it would go well in Caleb's bedroom. I love the green squiddy guy's expression! What a ride! Thank you, Karen. It was perfect.
Then I enlisted my friend's help to make a little handout with the saying on it. Thank you, Julie!
See? Here are a bunch of them, ready to go.
