Two days ago, Laura asked me what my favorite food was. Or did she phrase it "what's your favorite thing to eat"?
Since then, I've been trying to come up with an answer. So while I'm trying to think of what my answer is, I thought I'd ask all of you...what's your favorite thing to eat? If it was the last thing you got to ever eat in your life, what would that be?

Hooked
Sorry there wasn't a new post yesterday. It isn't my fault. It's Karen's fault, and then it's Cheryl's fault. It's Karen's fault for letting me read her copy of Twilight, and then it's Cheryl's fault for letting me read her copy of New Moon (book 2 in the Twilight series). I'm afraid new posts may continue to be hit/miss until I'm done with this book (which will be today) and the next two books in the series.
The only interesting thing that has happened in the last little while has been this:
The only interesting thing that has happened in the last little while has been this:
- Cheryl came to her new ward on Sunday which just so happens to be MY ward as well! No more sitting all by myself in R.S. (well, I didn't usually anyway- I'd sit by someone whether I knew them or not)!
- I made white bread and then totally forgot about it until the next day when Karen reminded me that there was dough in the oven. I baked it anyway, but it tasted too yeasty. No good.
- The squash are going gangbusters. Especially the yellow ones. Yikes. I seriously don't know what to do with them all. Anyone want some? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
- Agnes has a cold/cough, but she's starting to get better.
- Caleb has a fever, but he's starting to get better.
- Bud and I went to Sizzler last night for the first time in a month. I know you're thinking, "so what?" but that's a serious drought for us.
- That's all folks!

Six Years Ago

Happy Anniversary to my sweet husband. I love you more than words can express. Your patience is never-ending, your understanding is more than I deserve. You are my life and my eternity. Without you, I am lost. I pray we may have many more anniversaries yet to come because each one is more precious than the last.

I'll Never Learn
I planted some zucchini in my flower bed. In fact, I planted one zucchini plant and one yellow squash plant. Can someone please explain to me what in the world I was thinking? My children can tell you stories about the days when I foolishly planted more than one zucchini plant, much to their unhappiness. Evidently, my memory fails me from time to time and I have repeated this blunder yet again.

You see, the squash (both varieties) is starting to put forth its bounty and I don't think I'm going to be able to keep up. Even if I do start putting it in everything I cook, I think I'll still have more than I can handle. So, bring on your recipes for all things squash so I can pretend that I really meant to plant two gi-normous overproducing squashy-type vegetables.

Agnes is only holding half of what is currently sitting on my kitchen counter waiting to be "dealt with." She doesn't look too happy about the squash. However, check out her fabulous fingernails! If you want some zucchini or yellow squash, step right up. If not, send me a recipe so I can so something with all of this!

A Thank You Note
Dear Mr. Keeper of the Universe,
I wanted to say thank you for making everything happen just exactly right for this very special person in my life to have the opportunity to get to live in this house.

There now, doesn't it look better without the sign? Yes! Happy happy happy! Eight-eight-oh-eight is a great day to be sure!
