I'm Grateful

...for appetizers, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, creamy fruit salad, sweet potatoes, pumpkin cheesecake, pizookies, and apple pie. But none of that compares to this...

I'm also grateful I didn't fall off the roof yesterday while hanging these lights. I'm grateful for two boys that helped me so much!

Yes, I'm wearing ear muffs.

I am grateful for nine adorable grandchildren. I just wish they weren't so far away. I miss them!

Happy Thanksgiving! Now let Karen's favorite day of the year begin...Black Friday.
I NEED A NAP!

Don't Miss This Bliss!

Last night my husband's family was in town. For dinner we had chicken cordon bleu, rice pilaf, glazed carrots and rolls. The only problem was that it was all the same color, more or less, but it tasted good!
For dessert, we had these guys.
They were SO good! It is a ginger cookie topped with homemade pumpkin ice cream and drizzled with buttermilk syrup. OBB posted this a couple of weeks ago and I have been wanting to try it ever since. It was better than I expected. It was supposed to have candied pecans on top, but for some reason it slipped my mind, so oh well. If you haven't figured out what you are having for dessert tomorrow, you should make these.

Just A Few More

I might be tired of seeing these kids. Oh well, I'm not, but I'll try to be done pretty soon. Look at Agnes' hair. Laura is so clever with it sometimes. Today she used a nylon (yes, a pantyhose stocking) that had the foot cut away to make this creation. Gorgeous.

I call this next one Agnes' Little Mermaid pose.

When Karen saw this picture she said "She is T-R-O-U-B-L-E!" (yes, she spelled the word).

These next few pictures show the kids inside of a tree. The tree was hollow for a LONG way up.

Check this boy out! And look above his head at how far that tree is hollow up there!

I think Agnes saw something that she didn't want to see. Maybe a spider?

I believe it was this picture that Laura used for her Christmas card. In case you don't make the cut from that list, this is what you will be missing (this is that same hollowed out tree, from the outside).

Goodness, I love that baby!

Hi cute boy!

I wish so badly that I could remember what their surprised faces were all about. Sorry.

Now if that didn't bring a smile to your face, we need to have a talk! Look at that face!

The following was our attempt at another possible family photo worthy of a Christmas card.

We're usually dealing with goofy faces like these.

Okay, we've had enough. We're tired and need naps!

Boys Throw Rocks

Eliot's pre-school class went on a field trip to this pretty place.

You can see Eliot is wearing his seat belt for the school bus. Once they get the children strapped into these harnesses, they keep them on for the duration of the trip.

I was able to get a few pictures of Eliot doing what all the boys were doing- throwing rocks into the water.

Splash!

And just because I can't stop showing you how cute this little angel is, here's a couple more pictures.

Nana misses you, Olive!
