Just For Fun

My good friend sent me this a week or so ago. It made me laugh out loud.

Practicing The Toss

Among other games we played was Here Comes The Bride.

Here's Nora, explaining the rules.

Okay, Sara goes first.

Like this?

No, you have to turn around, and then throw them!

Yes! Like that!

Nora decided she needed a veil.

Oh, look at the height!

Excellent toss! Now let's work on the walk...

We've got to do better than a t-shirt for your veil when the "real" time comes.

It's such exhausting work play. Take a rest. We also played jail. I don't think the two games were related.

Toy Story 3 in 3D

She couldn't stay awake for the drive into L.A. I don't blame her. I shut my eyes several times too, but it wasn't because I was sleepy. I'm just not a good passenger! At one point, when I touched my son's arm (because I was nervous) he said "Woman! Just let me drive! I know what I'm doing." Sorry, Son.
When we got to the movie, there was a guy playing the organ. It was AWESOME! He played mostly Disney music, but not exclusively. Nora didn't like it. Can you tell why? She has very sensitive ears.
When they were ready to start the movie, he disappeared into the floor. So cool.
Treats for the movie! Nora chose sour candy-probably something gummy. What was it, Nora? Sara went with the more traditional selection of popcorn, root bear and a snack-size package of plain M&M's.
After the movie was over, and yes, I cried, (and it took Nora about 1/3 of the way into the movie before she'd put on her 3-D glasses...she doesn't like stuff flying out at her. We assured her nothing was flying out), we went to a funzone-type place exclusively reserved for the patrons of the theatre.

Nora, My Oldest Grandchild

Nothing will ever take the place of this child. She single-handedly gave me the greatest gift ever. Because of her, I became a grandmother. What joy! What happiness!

For her birthday present, Nora got a Zhu-zhu pet, much to her parents irritation. But Nora is so delighted with it! I didn't make her wait for her birthday to have it.

You are such a remarkable girl, Nora. I'm lucky to be your Nana, and I love you so, so, so much!

Sweet Sara

Sara is dressed up as Snow White and she has some flowers. I will show you later what game she and Nora played with them.

Have you seen a face cuter than this one? I think not.
Sweet!
I bought her a toy while I was there because all I brought with me for her were boring new clothes.

This last picture was taken on our way back to the airport. She was not happy I was leaving.
This was when her dad tried cheering her up by saying they'd go to Chick-fil-a for dinner. When I asked Sara what her favorite thing was at Chick-fil-a, she mumbled, "I don't know." Then Nora asked her the same question and she answered, "the playground."
I love you, Sara! I miss you too!
