Summer Memories
Kristina gave me this huge picture frame for helping at her reception. I finally filled it up!
You can't really see it well, but it's got all my babies in there showing the different things we did this summer.
This little collage is of Samuel's family at Wheeler Farm. I have 2 more frames to fill, and then I have to figure out how to hang them in my sewing room so they're cute.

A Dixie Vacation
Light the torch and let the games begin...
This morning we are driving to St. George for the Huntsman World Senior Games. Bud will be swimming starting on Wednesday, and until then we'll just be hanging around doing things that all the other old people in St. George do on a day-to-day basis (I don't currently know what that is, but when I find out, I'll let you know).
This is what I'll be seeing all week...

This is who stays at our house. Except Larry (brown plaid shirt) won't be there. Sadness!

This is my husband looking a little too happy receiving a special award from last year.

I think it had something to do with Little Miss Smileyface on his left.

Let's Decorate
Now that October is here, I can finally put out the cute Halloween decorations.

Here's the wreath

The candy corn says Trick or Treat

BOO!

I like this little ghost!

Can you see the spider (oh! spider picture alert...but don't worry, it's plastic)

This also says Trick or Treat

The wagon detaches from the pumpkin-head's hand

You'll probably have to click on the picture to see what's here...

And, the grand finale...

Isn't she awesome? I glued the big candy corn (behind the broom) on there myself because there was an empty spot. Love her!

Grins
I hoped to post Halloween decoration pictures today, but they won't be up till tomorrow. Instead, because a couple of these made me laugh, perhaps they'll have the same effect on you.
1. The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from too much pi.
2. I thought I saw an eye doctor on an Alaskan island, but it turned out to be an optical Aleutian.
3. She was only a whisky maker, but he loved her still.
4. A rubber band pistol was confiscated from algebra class because it was a weapon of math disruption.
5. The butcher backed into the meat grinder and got a little behind in his work.
6. No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery.
7. A dog gave birth to puppies near the road and was cited for littering.
8. A grenade thrown into a kitchen in France would result in Linoleum Blownapart.
9. Two silk worms had a race. They ended up in a tie.
10. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
11. A hole has been found in the nudist camp wall. The police are looking into it.
12. Atheism is a non-prophet organization.
13. Two hats were hanging on a hat rack in the hallway. One hat said to the other, 'You stay here; I'll go on a-head.'
14. I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.
15. A sign on the lawn at a drug rehab center said: 'Keep off the Grass.'
16. A small boy swallowed some coins and was taken to a hospital. When his grandmother telephoned to ask how he was, a nurse said, 'No change yet.'
17. A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion.
18. (Sorry, censored...you'll have to read this one somewhere else. PK)
19. The short fortune-teller who escaped from prison was a small medium, at large.
20. The man who survived mustard gas and pepper spray is now a seasoned veteran.
21. A backward poet writes in-verse.
22. In democracy it's your vote that counts. In feudalism it's your count that votes.
23. When cannibals ate a missionary, they got a taste of religion.
24. Don't join dangerous cults, practice safe sects.
Anything? A laugh? A grin? A smirk??? Tough audience.
