Nine Years Plus Eternity

Here we are one year and two days later.

When you are married civilly first, you have to wait one year to be sealed. Because one year later fell on a Sunday, and because temples are closed on Monday, we had to wait one year and two days to get sealed.
These are my four children, Laura, Karen, Samuel and Danny (which is not their birth order). Danny is wearing Samuel's jacket because what he was really wearing that day was a red Batman t-shirt. Danny took off that shirt, and is seen here in his undershirt with his brother's jacket over it. It doesn't really matter though. I was just happy to have my kids there with me.
Ignore the time stamp on that photo. Whoever took this picture didn't have their camera set correctly. I promise the date really was 8/12/2003.

Three Special Days In A Row

August 10 is my anniversary. August 12 is my temple anniversary. August 11, however, marks another special day. It was the day I finally got to go inside this building and do everything I'd always wanted to do for myself. That was only 16 years ago. A lot has changed in my life since then. For the better.

Ten Years

I'm pretty sure you've never seen these photos unless you are in my immediate family circle.

Ten years ago, Bud and I got married. It was a civil marriage, but 358 days later we were sealed in the Salt Lake temple (I'll show you a couple of photos of that in two days. I'm sure you can compare and contrast the difference in my appearance over that year). Thanks for ten of the best years of my life, Buddy!

Bud's Best Buddy

The other night I posted one of these pictures on Facebook, but here are the other photos that finished the sequence.
Enjoying strawberry shakes while watching the Olympics

Eliot and Bud are the best of friends. They are always together. Three times this week we didn't know exactly where Eliot was, and every time we found him, he was always hanging out with his grandpa. I love it that these two boys are such good friends.

Not Really Breakfast

Even though the picture looks like it was breakfast because Eliot is in his pj's, it's really night time and we're eating dessert. But you know the saying, "Life is uncertain; eat dessert first." So go ahead and have this for breakfast if you want. I won't turn you in to the breakfast police. Thanks to Laura for making another great treat!

You can barely see the ice cream under the strawberries. You know you want this. Here you go, Double Chocolate Waffles. What would we do without OBB? Speaking of, you all know it's only one month and four days until their next cookbook comes out, right?

Can't Wait! Can't Wait! Can't Wait! Can't Wait! Can't Wait! Can't Wait! Can't Wait!

Apple Puffed Pancakes

When I came out of my bedroom this morning, this is what was waiting for me. I'm going to miss Laura when she goes back to Ohio.

My favorite combination was the cinnamon apples and buttermilk syrup. I have one more breakfast to show you tomorrow! Today's recipe comes to you from Martha Stewart. You can find it here.
Thanks for breakfast, Laura! It was yummerific.
