There Was Ugly All Around
We had a little surprise waiting for us when we got to work yesterday. This was on the wall right next to the main door of our office.

Here's the laundromat next to us.
Here's our shed. I'm actually surprised that it took this long for the shed to get hit.
The trashcan has been cleaned, and now thanks to Michael's power washer,
the rest of the areas are getting cleaned.
We'll go in a little early to repaint the shed. Can anyone explain why this happens? I just don't get it.

Five Years Flies By
Five years ago I was back east. My third child had chosen her eternal companion and they were married in the Washington D.C. temple.
Aren't they cute? Karen was their photographer, and she did a great job. These kids were pretty happy that day.

Five years has gone by really fast, and now they have two of the cutest kids you've ever seen.

I love you guys so much! Have a great day!

And silly, too.

Happy Anniversary, Nick and Laura.

There Is Beauty All Around
Last week when I was at our home in St. George (it's actually Santa Clara), I noticed our palm tree had what looked like blueberries growing on it.
Really, don't those look like blueberries? No, I didn't try eating any.
Lilacs used to be my mom's favorite. Perhaps they still are. This one grows wild near our office. It only gets watered when it rains.
Same for this beauty. Soon, the green tint will turn white and then it will look like snowballs on the bush.
I thought I'd show you a picture of my backyard, since no one ever gets to see back there.
Oh, I wish! No, it's really the grounds at the Jordan River Temple.

So gorgeous!

Tile Re-do
If you know me (why would you be reading this blog if you don't know me?), you knew I couldn't live with my tile the way it was...all unevenly spaced and lame-looking.

Instead of starting totally from scratch, I just took off the "the" and added some embellishments. Better, yes? Now I need to get a holder for it instead of robbing one from another tile. Until then, providing we have no eminent earthquakes looming, it will be okay like this for a day or two.

ABC's
Caleb was making cookies with his mommy. He was wearing the apron Nana sent him.

I was talking to Karen on the phone and could hear Caleb talking in the background. Here's what I heard...
"h-i-j-k-l-m-n-o-p...Caleb!" In other words, he was "spelling" his name.
So cute.
